The CSTAR Refinery & Tank Farm Project, located in Kribi, Cameroon, is a strategic national initiative designed to strengthen the country’s energy security, support industrial growth, and create a sustainable economic ecosystem that integrates energy, agriculture, and employment generation.

CSTAR, a strategic affiliate of the Société Nationale des Hydrocarbures (SNH) of Cameroon, plays a pivotal role in realizing the nation’s long-term energy and development goals. The project is structured as an integrated ecosystem — connecting the refining, storage, and agricultural sectors to ensure national resilience and self-reliance.

At its core, the CSTAR Refinery will produce premium refined petroleum products, including gasoline, diesel, LPG, and low-sulfur marine fuels, meeting both domestic demand and international standards. Complementing the refinery, the Tank Farm serves as a national strategic reserve and the main domestic storage hub, securing stable fuel supplies to the Cameroonian market and fulfilling the country’s energy security mandate.

Beyond refining, CSTAR’s vision extends into industrial agriculture, advancing biofuel production from locally sourced agricultural feedstock. This integrated approach not only supports Cameroon’s agricultural sustainability but also strengthens food security and fosters the creation of thousands of jobs across both industrial and rural sectors.
